You're the Star was the original talent competition for the Disney Channel based on High School Musical the Disney Channel film.

Disney Channel viewers submitted their singing and dancing talents on DVD and video for the chance to star in a pop video. Fifteen year old Samantha Dorrance from the Midlands was voted the winner by Disney Channel viewers. She wowed us all with her natural ability ad rapport with the camera. Samantha has since carried on working with Amanda and Disney channel joining Brad Kavanagh as presenters on My School Musical the Latest talent competition for Disney Channel.
